Our goal is to dismantle systemic racism while fostering a culture of empathy and inclusion. Our Strategy
Our strategy focuses on in-depth research, storytelling from marginalized voices, and interactive workshops. We’re committed to testing and refining new methods, creating a collaborative space for youth workers, and amplifying marginalized voices to drive meaningful change.
The project will produce a comprehensive handbook and insightful videos that introduce fresh perspectives on diversity. These resources aim to strengthen the connection between youth workers and young people, while embedding inclusive practices.

Initiating Collaborative Knowledge Exchange
Establish a platform for collaborative knowledge exchange, firstly between our two partner organizations, then connecting the organizations in our network, to share best practices, break down prejudices, and promote diversity.

Equipping with Innovative Tools and Methods
Equip youth workers and youth organizations with innovative tools and methods for understanding and reaching marginalized youth, thereby preventing racism and intolerance.
Developing Non-formal Learning Materials
Develop non-formal learning materials and a toolbox with innovative methods for combating discrimination and fostering social inclusion.
Humanizing the problem
Creating a book, website and video material of real-life stories to challenge prejudices, highlight the impact of racism, and promote empathy and understanding.

Mosaic of Minds is a powerful initiative driven by Freedom to Discover and Orutindo, united in our mission to fight racism and foster diversity. Our shared vision seeks to create a more inclusive, understanding, and cohesive society, one where global citizenship and collaboration pave the way for positive social change.
Addressing Challenges in Youth Engagement
Despite the best efforts of youth organizations, attracting and maintaining active involvement from marginalized youth remains a challenge. These young people often face numerous barriers that prevent them from fully engaging. Traditional programs often adopt a “top-down” approach, shaped from an adult perspective, which can widen the gap.
To address these challenges, Mosaic of Minds advocates for a “bottom-up” approach, one rooted in the real-life experiences of marginalized youth. By developing tools and methods that allow youth workers to better understand and engage these young individuals, we aim to combat racism and promote diversity in a way that is both relevant and effective.
Building Trust Through Non-Verbal Communication
We recognize that for many young people, sharing their personal experiences can be daunting. To ensure they feel safe and understood, we place great emphasis on building trust through patience, sensitivity, and non-verbal communication tools. This may include storytelling, art, and other creative expressions such as drawing or photography, allowing youth to share their voices without the need for words.
Empowering Youth Workers and Organizations
