What makes my heart skip a beat? It’s getting lost in art, where I can let my ideas flow and just be myself. It’s the way that music can completely change my mood or make any moment feel amazing. I love to dance and sing, and I love to spend quality time with friends and family! The laughter and connection I share with people and animals gives me so much joy, and it just makes me smile every day (:

My name is Ace and I really love the art of ballet, even though I have only started practising it recently. Music, especially classical music, also definitely makes me happy along with nature and my friends (:

Jana

Hey my name is Jana! A brief description of what would make my heart skip a beat is
deliberately stepping beyond my comfort zone, challenging my own limits. The moment of breakthrough—when seemingly impossible becomes possible. Each successful push transforms not just the task at hand, but my perception of my own capabilities.

Llana

Growing up, I realized what makes my heart skip a beat is plain and simple, pure, genuine happiness. I find happiness in the sound of waves crashing against the shore, or even just staring at the sky painted in hues of orange and pink as the sun sets. Sometimes, it is as effortless as laying in bed all day with your pets.  As a Social Media Manager of Freedom to Discover, I want to remind everyone we reach that they get and deserve to get that kind of happiness, even in the simplest things.

Juno

Hello, I’m Juno and my heart skips a beat when I get to use my creativity. For instance, my heart paces whenever I play guitar and the notes join together into the final piece I have in mind, when I get to write down my ideas in different writing projects, when my amateur theater group performs a play, or when I finish a long D&D campaign with my friends. Besides that I really enjoy exploring my surroundings by walking through the city or nearby places and letting my mind run freely.

Hi! I am Maged. What makes my heart skip a beat? I love music! It inspires me and takes me to another world. I find joy in paying attention to the little details. I feel happiest when I discover new things or make a positive impact on those around me. What matters most to me is being part of something that makes the world a better place.

What makes my heart skip a beat? It’s that moment when someone dares to dream a little bigger—when a young artist, a curious traveler, or a quiet thinker suddenly realizes they can shape their own path. Seeing someone discover their voice, their passion, their place in the world—that’s what fuels me.

I believe in the power of connection, in the magic that happens when different perspectives come together. Whether it’s an artist from Skopje, a youth worker in Amsterdam, or a storyteller in Prague, I love watching those unexpected sparks fly when people from different backgrounds create something new together.

I get excited when ideas turn into action. When a project that started as a conversation over coffee becomes a real opportunity for someone who never thought they’d get one. When creativity isn’t just a hobby but a tool for empowerment. When we push the boundaries of what’s possible—especially for those who have been told their dreams are out of reach.

That’s why I founded Freedom to Discover. Because I believe everyone deserves the space to explore, to create, and to be heard.
